Record number of exhibitors at IE expo 2015
- Some 1,000 exhibitors coming to Shanghai
- 55,000 square meters of exhibition space
- 14 joint exhibition stands
- Interdisciplinary supporting program
In approximately four weeks, once again, IE expo opens its gates at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). For the first time ever, the number of exhibitors is approaching the 1,000 mark. Another new development: The show will occupy a total of 55,000 square meters of exhibition space. Among other things, this growth is due to an increase in the number of participants in the sectors for air purification as well as refuse disposal and recycling. Asia's leading environmental technology trade fair takes place from May 6–8, 2015.
Large number of new exhibitors registered
IE expo's exhibitors include several well-known companies such as Aerzen International Trading (Shanghai), BioMintec Environment (Shanghai), Eriez Magnetics (Tianjin), GARDNER DENVER MACHINERY (SHANGHAI), Grundfos Pumps (Shanghai), Huber Environmental Technology (Taicang), Siemens (China), WILO CHINA and Xylem (China). A large number of new exhibitors such as Cambi, Praxair (China) Investment and Remondis Group have also registered.
The fair will feature a total of nine country pavilions, i.e. representing Austria, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Taiwan and the USA. The following five organizations and institutions have also confirmed that they will host joint exhibition stands: the China Environmental Chamber of Commerce, the Yixing International Environmental Protection Zone, the Nanjing Environmental Protection Industry Association, the Air Purifier Industry Alliance of China and the World Economic Forum.
Established names in the supporting program
Once again, participants can also expect a diverse range of lectures and panel discussions in the supporting program of this year's IE expo. As in previous years, the annual meeting of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES), which is part of the “IE expo Summit Forum”, will be held on the first two days of the fair. It is co-organized by the China Environment Chamber of Commerce (CECC).
As always, the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA, Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e.V.) will hold its program of technical and scientific conferences, which runs during the entire fair. Organized in conjunction with the National Engineering Research Center for Urban Pollution Control (NERC), topics will include "Resource Recycling and Utilization", "Storm-water Management Planning and Design", "Sponge City Construction" and "Sewer Inspection, Cleaning and Rehabilitation".
Other events in the supporting program include the "2nd Sustainable Solid Waste Management Conference for Resource Recovery" on May 6 and 7 and the "2015 International Forum & Exhibition on Contaminated Site Remediation" on May 7 and 8.
Supporting program: Highlights
In conjunction with the Shanghai City of Government and the Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau, the "Conference of The Third Party Governance in Environmental Pollution Control" will be held on the second day of the fair. The conference gives service providers in the environmental sector and government leaders a chance to exchange ideas and solutions for future environmental-protection matters.
The “IE expo 2015 Innovation Pavilion and Exchange Symposium” is also new. It is being organized by the CSES and the CECC with support from Tsinghua University and Tongji University. On the first two days of the fair, it will give investors, end consumers and suppliers of innovative environmental technologies in all exhibition segments a platform for a business exchange.
An overview of the entire supporting program, which is updated on a regular basis, is available online at www.ie-expo.com/Conference.
